Den Stadil Fjord, in der Nähe unseres damaligen Sommerhauses in Søndervig gelegen, kenne ich schon seit eh und je. Doch die vom Sommerhaus am weitesten entfernte Ecke des Fjords mit seinem Zufluss, dem Tim Å, entdeckte ich erst viel später. Silvester 2001/2002 verbrachten wir zusammen mit Freunden im Sommerhaus und unternahmen bei strahlendem Winterwetter einen Ausflug zur Stadil Kirke und dem Stadil Fjord. Dort, kurz vor seiner Mündung in den Fjord, nahm ich den Tim Å zum ersten Mal so richtig wahr.
Die verschneite Schilflandschaft und der sanfte Mäander des Flusses boten ein Bild von atemberaubender Ruhe und Schönheit, das sich mir tief eingeprägt hat.

Tim Å at Stadil Fjord, Ringkøbing County, Denmark, 2001
I have known the Stadil Fjord, near our former summer house in Søndervig, for as long as I can remember. But I only discovered the corner of the fjord furthest away from the summer house with its tributary, Tim Å, much later. We spent New Year’s Eve 2001/2002 with friends at the summer house and went on an excursion to Stadil Kirke and Stadil Fjord in glorious winter weather. It was there, just before it flowes into the fjord, that I first really noticed Tim Å.
The snow-covered landscape of reeds and the gentle meander of the river offered a picture of breathtaking tranquillity and beauty that has stayed with me forever.
