Bornholm, eine beliebte Ferieninsel Dänemarks, bildet geologisch gesehen eine Einheit mit Südschweden und liegt auch direkt vor der südschwedischen Küste. Sowohl in Farben als auch in Formen zeigt Bornholm starke schwedische Einflüsse. Im Sommer 1983 verbrachte ich zwei wundervolle Wochen allein auf der Insel und erkundete sie mit dem Fahrrad. Dabei entdeckte ich einige schöne Motive in den kleinen, verträumten Dörfern. Obwohl die Motive oft von Farben geprägt sind, können sie auch in Schwarz-Weiß beeindruckend wirken. Ein gutes Beispiel dafür ist dieses Foto eines typisch dänischen, etwas in die Jahre gekommenen schwarzen Fahrrads vor einer scheckig gefärbten Hausfassade. Der spannende und sehr genaue Bildausschnitt macht dieses Motiv auch in Schwarz-Weiß zu einem echten Hingucker.

EBornholm, a popular holiday island in Denmark, forms a geological unit with southern Sweden and is also located directly off the southern Swedish coast. Bornholm shows strong Swedish influences in both colours and shapes. In the summer of 1983, I spent two wonderful weeks alone on the island and explored it by bike. I discovered some beautiful motifs in the small, dreamy villages. Although the motifs are often dominated by colour, they can also be impressive in black and white. A good example of this is this photo of a typical Danish, somewhat outdated black bicycle in front of a mottled coloured house facade. The exciting and very precise image detail makes this motif a real eye-catcher, even in black and white.
