style=\"padding-right:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30);padding-left:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30);font-style:italic;font-weight:400\">Neben den Bunkern in Kryle, die ich im Laufe der Jahre regelm\u00e4\u00dfig besucht habe, wurden gelegentlich auch alte Befestigungspf\u00e4hle am Strand freigelegt. Diese scheinen in normalen Jahren tief im Sand verborgen und gut konserviert zu sein. Es handelt sich dabei um Holzpf\u00e4hle aus der Zeit des Zweiten Weltkriegs, die damals f\u00fcr den Bau von Stacheldrahtverhauen verwendet wurden. Diese sollten als Schutz und Hindernis gegen anst\u00fcrmende Soldaten im Falle einer m\u00f6glichen Invasion durch die Engl\u00e4nder dienen.<br>Die Authentizit\u00e4t dieser alten Pf\u00e4hle konnte ich durch den Fund von stark verrostetem Stacheldraht nachweisen. Ein besonders interessantes St\u00fcck, das ich zu Hause aufbewahre, zeigt sogar noch Steine, die durch den Rost mit dem Draht verbacken sind. Ebenso bewahre ich die abges\u00e4gte Spitze eines solchen, vom Meer gezeichneten Holzpflocks auf.<br>In Kryle faszinierte mich besonders der Kontrast zwischen der \u00e4sthetischen Wirkung der Pf\u00e4hle am Strand und ihrer urspr\u00fcnglichen Bestimmung als Kriegsbefestigung. Diese Metamorphose ist beeindruckend. Die Strandbefestigungen konnte ich nur im August und Dezember 1991, Mai 1992 und Dezember 1999 beobachten, danach jedoch nie wieder, obwohl ich die Gegend weiterhin h\u00e4ufig besuchte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-wide\" style=\"margin-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--10);margin-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--10)\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-garamond-font-family has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"padding-right:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30);padding-left:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30);font-style:italic;font-weight:600\">Beach defence<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-garamond-font-family has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"padding-right:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30);padding-left:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30);font-style:italic;font-weight:400\"><br>Kryle radar station in Ringk\u00f8bing Amt, Denmark, 1992<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-garamond-font-family has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"padding-right:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30);padding-left:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30);font-style:italic;font-weight:400\"><br>In addition to the bunkers in Kryle, which I have visited regularly over the years, old defence piles have occasionally been uncovered on the beach. These appear to be buried deep in the sand and well preserved in normal years. These are wooden posts from the Second World War era, which were used to build barbed wire entrenchments. These were intended to serve as protection and obstacles against attacking soldiers in the event of a possible invasion by the British.<br>I was able to prove the authenticity of these old posts by finding heavily rusted barbed wire. One particularly interesting piece, which I keep at home, even shows stones that have been caked onto the wire by the rust. I also keep the sawn-off tip of one of these sea-marked wooden stakes.<br>In Kryle, I was particularly fascinated by the contrast between the aesthetic effect of the stakes on the beach and their original purpose as war fortifications. This metamorphosis is impressive.
