Dort hatten wir das Gl\u00fcck, ein indischst\u00e4mmiges amerikanisches Touristenpaar kennen zu lernen, das einen Wagen mit Fahrer gemietet hatte. Sie nahmen uns mit zu den Irupu-Wasserf\u00e4llen au\u00dferhalb des Nationalparks.<br>Dies war eine willkommene Abwechslung zu den sonst eher tr\u00fcben und z\u00e4h verlaufenden Tagen zwischen der Morgen- und der Nachmittagstour. Im Nagarhole National Park gibt es halt nur die schlichte Lodge, sonst nichts.<br>Der Begriff \u201eWasserf\u00e4lle\u201c ist vielleicht etwas \u00fcbertrieben. Es handelt sich um eine kleine Kaskade von mehreren Stromschnellen und kleineren Wasserf\u00e4llen eines eher kleinen Fl\u00fcsschens. Die Lage in der Natur und die tolle Beleuchtung machten den Ort jedoch zu einem ganz besonderen Erlebnis. Wir blieben lange an den Wasserf\u00e4llen und ich habe eine Menge Aufnahmen machen k\u00f6nnen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-wide\" style=\"margin-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--10);margin-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--10)\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-garamond-font-family has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"padding-right:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30);padding-left:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30);font-style:italic;font-weight:600\">Cascade<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-garamond-font-family has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"padding-right:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30);padding-left:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30);font-style:italic;font-weight:400\"><br>Irupu Falls on the edge of Nagarhole National Park in Karnataka, India, 1990<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-garamond-font-family has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"padding-right:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30);padding-left:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30);font-style:italic;font-weight:400\"><br>In India, Matthias and I also spent a few days in Nagarhole National Park in Karnataka. There we were lucky enough to meet an Indian-American tourist couple who had hired a car and driver. They took us to the Irupu waterfalls outside the national park.<br>This was a welcome change from the otherwise dull and slow days between the morning and afternoon tours. In Nagarhole National Park there is just the simple lodge, nothing else.<br>The term \u2018waterfalls\u2019 is perhaps a bit of an exaggeration. It is a small cascade of several rapids and smaller waterfalls of a rather small river. However, the location in the countryside and the great lighting made the place a very special experience.
