Die spannenden Wanderungen im DuMont Wanderf\u00fchrer \u201eKykladen\u201c waren das Hauptmotiv f\u00fcr den Besuch von Milos. Besonders faszinierte mich die M\u00f6glichkeit, eine steinzeitliche \u201eKlingenfabrik\u201c zu erwandern. Diese Wanderung entpuppte sich tats\u00e4chlich als echtes Highlight unserer Reise. Wir entdeckten zahlreiche steinzeitliche Obsidianklingen, die wir als Andenken mit nach Hause nahmen.<br>Weitere H\u00f6hepunkte unseres viert\u00e4gigen Aufenthaltes waren die Bekanntschaft mit einem Fischer, der uns mit zum Fischen rausnahm, die atemberaubende Tuffk\u00fcste bei Mandrakia und das beeindruckende griechische Theater, in dem die ber\u00fchmte Venus von Milos gefunden wurde.<br>Dieses Bild aus der Inselhauptstadt Plaka erinnert mich immer an den Queen-Song \u201eLazing on a Sunday Afternoon\u201c von meiner ersten Queen-LP \u201eA Night at the Opera\u201c. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-garamond-font-family has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"padding-right:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30);padding-left:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30);font-style:italic;font-weight:400\">Wie man sieht, genie\u00dft die Katze hier das Leben in vollen Z\u00fcgen:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-garamond-font-family has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"padding-right:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30);padding-left:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30);font-style:italic;font-weight:400\">\u201eI go out to work on Monday morning<br>Tuesday, I go off to honeymoon<br>I\u2019ll be back again before it\u2019s time for sunny-down<br>I\u2019ll be lazing on a Sunday afternoon<br>\u2026.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-wide\" style=\"margin-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--10);margin-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--10)\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-garamond-font-family has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"padding-right:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30);padding-left:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30);font-style:italic;font-weight:700\">&#8222;Lazing on a Sunday Afternoon&#8220;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-garamond-font-family has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"padding-right:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30);padding-left:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30);font-style:italic;font-weight:400\"><br>Plaka on Milos, Cyclades, Greece, 1994<br><br>Milos clearly stands out from the other Cyclades islands that I have visited so far. The exciting hikes in the DuMont \u2018Cyclades\u2019 hiking guide were the main reason for visiting Milos. I was particularly fascinated by the opportunity to hike to a Stone Age \u2018blade factory\u2019. This hike actually turned out to be a real highlight of our trip.
