Im 19. Jahrhundert lie\u00df der Maharaja von Bharatpur dieses Gebiet, eine nat\u00fcrliche Senke, k\u00fcnstlich \u00fcberstauen, um Entenjagd zu erm\u00f6glichen. Schon bald entwickelte sich ein einzigartiges Habitat, das tausende V\u00f6gel, darunter viele seltene Zugv\u00f6gel, anzog. Seit 1956 steht das Gebiet als Nationalpark unter Schutz.<br>Leider wurde die Wasserzufuhr in den letzten Jahren seit meinem Besuch dort so stark eingeschr\u00e4nkt, dass dieses einst phantastische Gebiet inzwischen stark ausgetrocknet ist und nur noch wenige V\u00f6gel dort leben. Wirklich schade, denn f\u00fcr mich war es immer ein absolutes Vogelparadies.<br>Insgesamt verbrachte ich drei Tage im Park, erkundete ihn zu Fu\u00df und mit dem Fahrrad und konnte einige beeindruckende Aufnahmen machen. Dieses Foto, das einen Kormoran auf einem toten Ast vor der wundersch\u00f6nen Kulisse der Bew\u00e4sserungskan\u00e4le, Feuchtwiesen und Bauminseln zeigt, geh\u00f6rt zu meinen Favoriten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-wide\" style=\"margin-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--10);margin-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--10)\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-garamond-font-family has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"padding-right:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30);padding-left:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30);font-style:italic;font-weight:700\">Cormorant<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-garamond-font-family has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"padding-right:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30);padding-left:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30);font-style:italic;font-weight:400\"><br>Keoladeo National Park near Bharatpur in Rajasthan, India, 1989<br><br>Bharatpur National Park, correctly known as Keoladeo National Park, in Rajasthan is one of the most fascinating national parks I have ever visited. In the 19th century, the Maharaja of Bharatpur had this area, a natural depression, artificially flooded to enable duck hunting. Soon, a unique habitat developed that attracted thousands of birds, including many rare migratory birds. The area has been protected as a national park since 1956.<br>Unfortunately, the water supply has been so severely restricted in recent years since my visit there that this once fantastic area has now dried up considerably and only a few birds still live there. It&#8217;s a real shame, because for me it was always an absolute bird paradise.<br>I spent a total of three days in the park, exploring it on foot and by bike, and was able to take some impressive photos.
