Der Ararat: Mythos, sagenumwobene Landestelle der Arche Noah oder einfach nur ein majest\u00e4tischer Vulkankegel mit schneebedeckter Kuppe? Schwer zu sagen \u2013 vermutlich ist er f\u00fcr jeden etwas anderes. In jedem Fall ist er ein imposanter Gipfel, der sich weit \u00fcber die Hochebene von Kars erhebt. Urspr\u00fcnglich war im Rahmen unserer T\u00fcrkei-Syrien-Exkursion eine Besteigung des Ararat geplant, doch nur zwei Tage vor unserer Ankunft entzogen die t\u00fcrkischen Beh\u00f6rden kurzfristig die Genehmigung. Schade! Doch auf der Strecke zwischen I\u011fd\u0131r und Do\u011fubayaz\u0131t passierten wir am sp\u00e4ten Nachmittag den \u00c7illi-Ge\u00e7idi-Pass, der einen fantastischen Ausblick auf den Ararat bietet. Es war die eindrucksvollste Perspektive auf den Vulkan, da er von hier seine klassische Form zeigt und sich erhaben \u00fcber die Landschaft erhebt. Ich konnte dort zwei sehr unterschiedliche Aufnahmen machen: eine klassische Aufnahme des Gipfels mit dem Teleobjektiv und dieses Weitwinkelbild, das durch die beiden Frauen mit ihren K\u00fchen im Vordergrund eine ganz eigene Geschichte erz\u00e4hlt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mount Ararat: myth, the legendary landing site of Noah\u2019s Ark, or simply a majestic volcanic cone with a snow-capped summit? It\u2019s hard to say \u2013 it probably means something different to everyone. In any case, it is an imposing peak that rises high above the Kars plateau. Originally, an ascent of Ararat had been planned as part of our Turkey-Syria excursion, but just two days before our arrival, the Turkish authorities withdrew the permit at short notice. What a shame! However, on the route between I\u011fd\u0131r and Do\u011fubayaz\u0131t, we passed the \u00c7illi Ge\u00e7idi Pass in the late afternoon, which offers a fantastic view of Ararat. It was the most impressive view of the volcano, as from here it reveals its classic shape, towering majestically above the landscape. I was able to take two very different shots there: a classic shot of the summit with a telephoto lens and this wide-angle image, which tells a story all of its own thanks to the two women with their cows in the foreground.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n
